Autism: Balance and Frequency

It’s what you do for others.

A while back I did an entry about ADD ADHD and in that entry I promised to write about Autism. I didn’t realize it was going to be such a while until I actually got around to it!
Autism is a very interesting study from the medical intuitive point of view. I have mentioned it in passing in several entries and talked about it in my workshops, yet I have not really addressed it in my Kick! Autism can often be referred to as “autism spectrum disorder” (ASD) and the word “spectrum” should be noticed as there is an entire wave of individuals diagnosed with some form of autism, in a sense it is a “catch-all” for behavioral patterns that fall within certain categories involving communication and interaction challenges.
Autism in the form that we have become familiar with as a society will appear in early childhood — usually before age 3. Though symptoms and severity vary, all autism disorders affect a child’s ability to communicate and interact with others. There was the initial school of thought that those teaching with Autism had little or no emotions or an inability to express emotions, but that is not the case, this misconception is due to their challenges with communication and interaction.
You may have noticed that I did not refer to these individuals as “having’ autism or “suffer” from autism? I chose my wording carefully, they are not even LEARNING from Autism, as I often refer to those that are experiencing dis-ease as “learning” from it. Well, those experiencing autism are teaching, they are here on this earth to teach. It is a tough concept to grasp, but even the souls that are experiencing autism do not see that anything is “wrong” with them, they do not need “fixed” or “healed”.
Now that being said, they do want to make the connection, but they are literally on a higher frequency than the rest of us! I often talk about souls on this earth that are what I refer to as “white lighters”. These are individuals that are in perfect balance, and when we are in perfect balance as energetic beings, we are walking rainbows and when each center is in balance, they unite to create the white light of enlightenment.
The base center is located at the pelvic floor, right at the base of the spine, and then the second center is below the naval, it vibrates orange. Moving up the body, the stomach is yellow, heart/chest center green, throat is blue, brow center/forehead is indigo and the crown then is a large glowing white. White is the combination of all your balanced colors, and those in balance have a huge white energy field, I refer to them as “Angels Incarnate”. They are NOT common, as we are not in balance, we are constantly interacting with our emotions and our energy influences and is influenced by our surroundings and those residing in it.
I have seen eight “white lighter’s”in my lifetime and believe it or not, many have been those teaching with Down’s Syndrome! They are all such angels, I just love these old souls. But year’s ago when I was at Integrated Health Concepts, a clinic I co-founded with a family practice physician we were visited by a woman and her eighteen year old autistic son. I had been out on errands and had just walked in the door and she was sitting in a chair looking at a book, he was over in the corner looking at some items that were sitting on a shelf.
I walked through the door and BAM! He definitely caught my attention, I thought he WAS an angel. For a moment I questioned whether “they” were coming for me! Hah! His energy was so intense it was difficult for me to see him through it all, he turned and I walked right up to him. He shook my hand, as that was his greeting, (his repeated greeting, I might add). I was honored because after our meeting and our talk when it was time to leave he gave me the biggest hug! and I remember his mother standing there in shock because he did not hug anyone.
I smiled and told her that her son and I were “old friends” and he felt comfortable in my energy, just as I felt comfortable in his. He was not my first client with Autism, but I believe he was introduced to me in order to help me understand and discern the different levels of lessons involved with the entire spectrum of autistic dis-orders.
I didn’t realize then that I would, in just a couple short years be working with the autistic on a weekly basis as a volunteer for Copper Crest Therapeutic Horseback Riding. Just last week, Sam Champion of Good Morning America highlighted his sister as his inspiration. She is the mother of an autistic son, Sam’s nephew, and in the profile what came to light, but therapeutic horseback riding!
Before I talk about the benefits of horses, I think it is important to offer a list of what the medical community has collected in regards to common challenges associated with autism. I took this list from the Mayo Clinic site on autism awareness. I would like to share with you that part of what I do as a medical intuitive, is to define the problem. I am trained as a designer, with experience in both graphic and industrial design, and with that being said, you cannot solve a problem unless you define it.
Look at this list and discern how many of these issues reference energy, frequency, and grounding. Then you can draw the commonalities and with that, figure out just what can help.
Social skills
* Fails to respond to his or her name
* Has poor eye contact
* Appears not to hear you at times
* Resists cuddling and holding
* Appears unaware of others’ feelings
* Seems to prefer playing alone — retreats into his or her “own world”
Language
* Starts talking later than other children
* Loses previously acquired ability to say words or sentences
* Does not make eye contact when making requests
* Speaks with an abnormal tone or rhythm — may use a singsong voice or robot-like speech
* Can’t start a conversation or keep one going
* May repeat words or phrases verbatim, but doesn’t understand how to use them
Behavior
* Performs repetitive movements, such as rocking, spinning or hand-flapping
* Develops specific routines or rituals
* Becomes disturbed at the slightest change in routines or rituals
* Moves constantly
* May be fascinated by parts of an object, such as the spinning wheels of a toy car
* May be unusually sensitive to light, sound and touch and yet oblivious to pain
I have been absolutely fascinated by the exchange of love and energy between the horses and the individuals that sit atop that horse. I wrote about The Color of Horses last year and talked at length about their energy. Horses can ground and channel the energy that surrounds the individual, calming them down and in a sense, horses help “change the channel”. I even wrote about horses and healing in previous entries.
I put it this way because the basic characteristic of those teaching with autism is the huge amount of energy they have in their field. It is as if all the energy they are supposed to have in their body is in an electrical cloud OUTSIDE their body. More than anything, they are on a higher frequency and it is difficult to communicate to them on that frequency, they need it lowered, grounded, channeled so to speak.
That is why there is not an intelligence issue, almost as if they can pick up twice as much information, twice as quickly, yet cannot reciprocate back to us because they can’t lower the frequency long enough to relay all they know. That is where the horses come in, these wonderful creatures are very grounding and they help channel the energy. Horses help slow down the energy enough to allow a window of interaction. This window is NOT just while they are on the horse, it lasts for days, just like a wonderful massage or a relaxed time in the hot tub goes beyond the time spent in the therapy.
Other benefits go beyond the grounding and the energy that is directed between the horse and the rider (if that isn’t enough of a convincer). Balance is key. My partner, Tom and I have it dubbed, the “B” word…balance is not just about the literal benefit of balancing on the horse. Balancing on a horse does utilize all the core muscles that are needed to achieve that balance. The horses, the barn, the volunteers, even the dogs, and the cats, all offer a sense of equilibrium between environments. Not to “video you” to extremes, I wanted to include yet another entry video from last year to help explain the energy that surrounds these wonderful animals:
Did you notice I put a plural on the word environment? The autistic environment that I experience is a push-me pull-you between the material world and the “other side”. One very special family close to Tom and I have a grown daughter with autism. What I see and hear around her is nothing short of amazing. She has many guides and angels around her and she can often repeat what they are saying. I have sat with her and put a thought in my head and she has repeated the exact thought! Telepathy at is best. Again, it is a frequency thing, and grounding/balancing is important. And she is involved with the therapeutic horseback riding, but also intuitively her parents have a farm and are avid gardeners which give her the grounding she requires, literally. They are a truly amazing family, and she is a truly amazing soul.
I have put it out there in workshops and have talked to physical therapists about how to teach or to communicate the importance of deep, grounding breaths when trying to get them calm or quiet. My experience with the individuals that shout or whoop or even rock is that there is a need to get grounded and get a deep breath. It is challenging to attempt to show or try to help them achieve this. Some don’t even want to ground and get back in that body which makes it even more of a challenge!
I have had several protocols come across my desk concerning help for those teaching with autism. Breathing is major, but also the grounding and the balance. Another interesting thought is what is out there to help “lower” that frequency and quiet it enough to allow communication and interaction?
There are many “treatments” but not any cures, some as controversial as medical marijuana. Ultimately, as I found with my research over the years, even documented results with the medical marijuana, it is all about finding balance. That is because it is all about frequency and balancing out that energy.
Copper Crest Therapeutic Riding Academy is like so many other small non-profits these days, it is being squeezed tight by the economy. But even more so, there are individuals that can benefit from this program. Your donation allows us to provide services to those that otherwise could not participate. Copper Crest is my charity of choice because I am there, I volunteer, raise money, and donate money to keep the program running. I am very fortunate, I can see on a weekly basis how your donation brings joy and makes a difference in the lives of others. Remember, money is energy! Please consider donating. Any amount of “energy” is appreciated!
