Tissues Connecting Issues

All about legs!

After writing my entry about varicose veins  I started searching for information I had written about legs, surely there is something? And I realized I have mentioned legs in certain entries but only as they relate to other tissue issues such as arthritis or perhaps a break. So this week in Connecting Tissues, I wanted to talk a little bit about the body/mind connection with legs and how I, as a medical intuitive look at leg issues.

First, there is the question of left leg or right leg, or both? Your left leg represents what you can allow into your life in order to move forward. It may or may not involve a predominant female energy (and this could be you if you are a female energy). Your right leg represents what you need to release out of your life in order to move forward. It may or may not involve a predominant male energy (and this could be you if you are a male energy). If both legs are affected then you must look at where or how you are currently taking a stand in this world.

Secondly, you must look at what the actual tissue issue experience is in order to discern further. Just as my current entry is about varicose veins, it is important to take the actual body/mind connection and combine that with the location within the body. Arthritis is fear of letting go, so when legs are affected you are putting a lock down on forward motion. A break is the most severe message from the universe and is about your very foundation, as bone is about structure and support.

Not only do legs represent how we currently stand in this world (your world) they also represent how others see us in our own world. Thinking of the phrases involved with legs can even push this explanation further:

“Stand on our own two feet.” even the movie (one of my favorites) Secondhand Lions had the McCann brothers dying at the end “with their boots on” which is a similar implication. It is about independence and freedom, agility, strength, and being grounded. Weak legs communicate that there is an inability to take a stand and be strong in your decisions. Often reflected is a dependency on others to direct your movement (and often your life).

Cramps in the legs, particularly the calves represents fear and insecurity. The cramps are about holding onto that fear. My oldest son is a college football player and once in a while he has some serious cramps in his thighs and calves. Dehydration and exhaustion play a big part in his pain, and looking at the bigger picture while swilling Gatorade, chewing Tums, and eating bananas (yes simultaneously) can lead to some insightful information.

I would also like to mention amputation, as I have several clients that have had the challenge of processing this experience. Whether it was accident related, or dis-ease related (such as diabetes or infection) it is imperative to look again at what side, what leg, how severe the amputation, and then WHAT was going on in your life prior and parallel to the incident. Also, and this is more important, what have you done WITH the experience?

Many I know have moved beyond the experience and were not hindered, but empowered by it. Some have gone within and allowed the experience to define them, which again is their choice in lessons. Some choose to become teachers, others choose to become the students. Many choose to be both the teacher and the student. Amputations can and often are a karmic experience, meaning the amputation and all its ramifications go beyond this lifetime. Karma is not about mirroring experiences (the old “eye for an eye” adage). Rather karma is an intricate plan of soul growth and an intermingling of experiences with other souls. Sometimes these experiences are complex, or perhaps we make them complex! Karmic lessons are for all involved, not merely the individual going through the experience.

Again, legs can represent so much of the content of our character, therefore lessons involving legs can be complex. Ultimately it is about putting your best foot forward, or perhaps it is taking that leap of faith? Whatever your choice, remember that change is difficult, but it is inevitable. It is safe to move forward.

Thank you for your time, have a wonderful week!
