Hi Patsy! Allergies to smells are about conflicts, or what I would like to call "divided perceptions" between giving (taking) direction and being controlled by either certain people or the situation. We "follow our nose" in order to get to where we are going, so when there is a so-called "log-jam" and we can't smell or even see clearly for that matter we stay stuck. A fellow hypnotist had a client that was allergic to lilacs, but this allergy manifested in his early 20's. When the bushes bloomed he was miserable. Through hypnosis he was regressed to a previous life where he was a young man in his early 20's sitting near an open window while his wife was in labor, she died in childbirth, as did the baby and he associated his grief with the smell of lilacs. He carried that imprint over to this life so when he turned the same age as the incident, the cell memory kicked in. Fascinating stuff isn't it? Take care, Catherine

Catherine - what about allergies to smells? I know of a couple of people who can't be around crowds or weddings or funerals because of the smell of perfume or flowers. And one person I know cut down all the bushes in her yard that bloom because of the smells and how they make her sneeze and wheeze. Then there is another one who says the smell of cleaning chemicals and solutions stir up her allergies. Any insights?
