About Thursday’s Kick

About Thursday’s Kick!

Thursday’s Kick! was born in July, 2008. It has evolved over the years from a weekly motivational “kick in the butt” for my weight release clients to something far more expansive than I could have ever thought. This evolution is an example of what can happen when you get out of your own way and go with the flow.

Originally the entries were short and sweet, designed to get you through the weekend (hence “Thursday” rather than any other day; Monday’s are hectic, Friday’s get lost and Thursday is just right).

Rosie is the “pink”  Donkey that dominated the Kick! the first year. She was my mascot and my friend and I could relate to Rosie in so many ways. She also added the humor to my message about receiving a motivational “kick in the …!” We lost Rosie in the spring flooding of 2009 that devastated Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. We never found her, and she is missed, so I decided to honor her spirit by keep ing her on the cover of my Kick!Book series.

The Kick!Book Series is a series of Kick! entries that have been organized into e-books by subject matter. I will keep adding to the series and will announce them in my Thursday Kick! newsletter. Eventually, they will be offered in a series of paperback books, for now the e-book will be the best venue.

You may find some entries are repeated in different e-book categories, such as “Infertility and Conception” will appear in the compilation on Health and Healing but also in the compilation on “Family”.  It just makes sense, as some subjects do fall under several categories and you may not be interested in one category over the other.

This is a wonderful way for you to become familiar with past entries, and much easier to peruse than having everything archived. This is also my solution to offering you quality information without charging a subscription fee. Thank you for your understanding and your support.

Blessings to you. Catherine
